General Terms and Conditions (GTC) – SprachXpert

  1. 1- Scope

    These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all contracts between SprachXpert and participants regarding participation in language courses, including online and conversation courses. Any differing terms and conditions of the participants do not apply unless expressly accepted in writing by the school.

  2. 2- Contract conclusion / Registration

    1. 1. Registration for a course takes place online via the website or by email.
    2. 2. By registering, the participant accepts the terms and conditions and confirms the accuracy of their information.
    3. 3. The school reserves the right to refuse registrations, especially if the course requirements are not met.
  3. 3- Course offerings / services

    1. 1. The school offers language courses at levels A1 to C1 according to the CEFR, as well as conversation courses.
    2. 2. All courses are offered online and are flexibly designed, allowing participants to choose their learning times individually.
    3. 3. Course content, materials and teaching methods are provided by the school and remain the intellectual property of the school.
  4. 4- Payment terms

    1. 1. Course fees are due before the course begins.
    2. 2. Payments can be made via bank transfer, PayPal or other methods specified on the website.
    3. 3. In case of non-payment or late payment, the school reserves the right to refuse participation.
  5. 5- Terms and Conditions of Participation

    1. 1. Participants are required to actively attend the online courses and adhere to the course rules.
    2. 2. Technical requirements (stable internet connection, suitable device, microphone/camera) are the responsibility of the participant.
    3. 3. Violations of the course rules or repeated disruptions may lead to exclusion from the course.
  • Cancellation / Withdrawal

    1. 1. Cancellation of the course is possible up to 14 days before the start of the course; in this case, the course fee paid will be fully refunded.
    2. 2. In case of later cancellation or non-participation, there is no entitlement to a refund.
    3. 3. The school may cancel courses for organizational reasons or if there are too few participants; in this case, the fee will be fully refunded.
  • 7- Liability

    1. 1. The school is only liable for damages resulting from intentional or grossly negligent breaches of duty.
    2. 2. The school accepts no liability for technical problems during online learning or for individual learning outcomes.
  • 8- Data protection

    1. 1. The school collects, stores and processes personal data of participants in accordance with the GDPR.
    2. 2. Data will be used exclusively for course administration, communication and internal statistics.
    3. 3. Participants may request information, correction or deletion of their data at any time.
  • 9- Changes to the Terms and Conditions

    The school reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. Participants will be notified of any changes in a timely manner. The version most recently published on the website is always the applicable one.
  • 10- Jurisdiction / Law

    The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany apply. The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contractual relationship is the school's location.
